We’re always looking out for each other
Everyone at Brickworks shares responsibility for creating a safe workplace. Working in the yard, with lots of heavy machinery means David needs to follow procedures and stay alert to what’s going on. “We’re always looking out for each other, being safe at all times,” he says. “You’ve got to have each others’ backs.”
Paying attention to safety also means looking after the environment. By playing his part in producing bricks that last longer, David is contributing to a more sustainable future for buildings and construction. “These bricks are used in Aussie homes all around the country,” he says. “We’ve got a job to do, but the environment is important too.”
David is proud to belong to a team that’s dedicated and shares the load. “The best thing about working at Brickworks is we’re hard workers and we’re one big family,” he says.
