Oakdale East Opening

The exciting project is the first of its kind, and a step further for Brickworks in ensuring customer service, product knowledge and collaborative decision-making. Lindsay Partridge AM, Brickworks Ltd Managing Director said of the project, “our workplace is an investment in Brickworks Building Products, our people and our future”. The Oakdale facility is a dynamic and collaborative space for both Brickworks’ customers and staff. The multi-faceted build houses a head office, manufacturing warehouse and customer facilities, ensuring cohesion between the staff and clientele. 

Be it masonry blocks, roof tiles or pavers, the centre showcases the full range of Brickworks’ offering.  Designed to assist and inspire the customer’s creative journey with the Brickworks’ product, the centre will house personalised materials, an extensive range of colours and textures, and will enable the customer to gain confidence in their design decisions, being able to compare and decide between the full spectrum of options available when considering the fundamental steps to building their home. Designed for clear, creative thinking, the Design Centre is a light, white space, a blank canvas for collaborative thinking, with a cafe, work stations and colour consultation areas. 

Brickworks’ own specialists in their field offer colour consultations, pairing the best products to fit the customer’s brief and desired style. Brickworks’ colour hub allows customers the ability to visualise their designs, whilst receiving expert assistance.  

Opposite the design centre is Brickworks’ own style park. Designed and landscaped to take the customer on an inspirational journey, customers are able to explore and immerse themselves in the gardens, which will act as a modern showcase of the Brickworks’ outdoor offering, before entering the ‘reference library’, where they can explore the entire range of product colours. A key design feature of the spaces was to ensure that the external and internal could merge seamlessly, organically leading the customer onto the next space in their design journey. 

The flow and layout of the centre is designed to accommodate and guide the customer through each of their creative steps, ensuring that they feel supported as they consider the materiality and style of the product offering. Brickworks design centre is a contemporary, urban oasis. Taking its cues from the colour palette, texture and tone of natural materials, the design centre is a calming, creative space to optimise the design journey. The Brickworks team can assist in curating a bespoke journey for their customers, ensuring that the design centre will be a space for collaboration, exploration and creativity.
