Brickworks is excited for the return of the inDETAIL Speaker Series.
Jimmy Thompson, Design Director MJA Studio, will be joining us in person at the Sydney Design Studio to share MJA Studio's body of work.
This event will be hosted by Stephen Varady, architect and collaborator, who shares Brickworks' passion for architecture, design and innovation.

Jimmy Thompson has been the Design Director at MJA studio since 2011. During this tenure Jimmy has transformed the practice’s approach to design and has overseen significant growth in the scale of the studio and the complexity of projects it undertakes.
Jimmy’s role ensures that commercial needs are balanced with design solutions that respond to local context, heritage and environment in a way that incorporates whimsy and delight. Above all Jimmy truly gives a damn about the ability of Architecture to have a positive effect on its occupants and the communities that surrounds it.
MJA studio is based on Whadjuk Nyoongar Boodja in Perth and specialises in S, M, L and XL Residential, Mixed-Use and Hospitality projects. They also love celebrating Perth’s long relationship with Brick.
