A fusion of architectural ingenuity and contextual responsiveness, On Hills Central by COX Architecture delivers character and community to the developing urban landscape of the Rouse Hill precinct. Situated at the corner of Caddies Boulevard and Rouse Hill Drive, On Hills Central elevates the contemporary residential experience - connecting communities, facilitating social interaction, and engaging with the local environment.

Containing 141 residential apartments comprised of 1-4 bedrooms, On Hills Central’s design fosters social sustainability for its residents, providing a multitude of public domains in which dwellers are offered the opportunity to engage with neighbors and the local public. Connected to the existing Town Centre, residents are given direct access to a variety of retail and recreational amenities, whilst also facilitating interaction with retailers, customers, and locals through a short walk via Rouse Hill Drive.

The strategic location of the development, a mere 300 metres from the Rouse Hill Metro Station, further supports the liveability of the residence for professionals, offering the community walkable access and connection to public transportation. Additional internal community zones, including ground floor and rooftop public recreational areas and green, landscaped spaces, facilitate further social engagement and human connection amongst neighbours and residents.

A guideline for contemporary urban living, On HIlls Central by COX Architecture breathes modernised liveability into the Rouse Hills precinct.

Defined by its distinctive architectural façade, the curated brick exterior of On Hills Central provides a rich, earthy, and tactile quality to the Rouse Hills precinct. The decisive choice of materiality in brick pays homage to the local environment, infusing the urban landscape with a renewed warmth in the varied Austral Brick colourways applied across the building forms and structures. Selected not only for its aesthetic qualities, brick serves as a low maintenance yet highly robust and durable material choice, aligning with COX Architecture’s vision for the long-term sustainability and liveability of the project.

COX Architecture’s Felipe Miranda, Project Director of On Hills Central, notes, “As the urban designers of the Northern Precinct, we wanted to ensure that all new buildings responded to their context. The choice of brickwork was key in ensuring the podiums of all new buildings had a tactile quality. Given the fact that bricks are laid by bricklayers, we liked the link between human-centred design with human laid materials.”

A guideline for contemporary urban living, On HIlls Central by COX Architecture breathes modernised liveability into the Rouse Hills precinct. In promoting quality, community, and wellbeing in their considered design, COX Architecture showcases the immense impact of architecture on shaping communities and the ways in which residents can positively interact with their environment, elevating the lifestyle of the community.
