BRICKWORKS UPDATES COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Brickworks implements new COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees and customers.

Given the quickly moving situation relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in Australia and across the world, we are moving forward with additional precautionary measures at Brickworks in order to take a proactive approach in mitigating and containing the impact of this outbreak. Please note we have no reported cases of Coronavirus in Brickworks.

However, we are cognisant of the importance of working together with a shared focus on ensuring the ongoing safety and wellbeing of our people & customers alike. At Brickworks, we put our employees and our customers safety and well-being first and foremost. With the continued growing concerns of the Coronavirus we have taken steps to hopefully help reduce the potential spread of this terrible disease.

Current Brickworks Guidelines (NSW, QLD, VIC, TAS, SA & WA):

We ask that if you are feeling unwell, had contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 to please refrain from visiting our sites. You can click here for a full list of our studio and centre details and locations.

Due to the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, we are changing how we do things to keep our service operating for you. When visiting a Brickworks Design Centre or Studio, you will be required to be temperature checked by a staff member upon entry to site. Any customer having a fever, being a temperature of 37.8 degrees or above, will be asked to leave the premises and visit their GP.

Our outdoor product displays will remain OPEN for viewing, providing that customers comply with the government’s social distancing direction. Our delivery and pick up facilities will remain unchanged, however, will no longer accept cash payments, and will take credit card payments via the dedicated phone number outlined above.

Precautionary Employee Initiatives:

As an additional precautionary measure, all employees must have their temperature tested upon entry to site. Any employee having a fever, being a temperature of 37.8 degrees or above, will be also be asked to leave the premises and visit their GP.

We have instructed our employees whose inherent role requirements do not practically enable them to work from home (for example factory employees) to maintain social distancing, including:

  • remain at least 1.5 metres apart from other work colleagues at all times
  • all meetings should be held remotely such as via telephone or video conference
  • to the extent possible, employees attending company premises and not working from home are to maintain staggered lunch breaks
  • reduce the use of public transport
  • all company-wide travel is cancelled
  • avoid physical contact when greeting. Instead practise safe greetings such as a wave, nod or a bow
  • wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • if soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol

As you are all aware these are very difficult times however,  we trust you understand our concerns and we in-turn appreciate your ongoing support.
