inDETAIL with Lynn Wang, Lineburg Wang – Hobart
Brickworks is excited for the return of the inDETAIL Speaker Series.
Established in Brisbane in 2018, Lineburg Wang is a national award-winning architecture practice, most recently recognised by being awarded the prestigious Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Medallion in 2023.
Their interests are broad and not limited by scale or typology. They are equally engaged by all the parts that make up the whole, to shape holistic projects in exploration of spatial, social and material research.
The practice is defined by an iterative design process and is motivated to find considered architectural outcomes deeply ingrained in principle, reason and value.
The projects are open to challenging knowns and tradition in order to find simple solutions, and finding opportunity in constraints from which a new architectural language can be derived.
Their interest is in problem solving, collecting data – the built projects not based on a heroic sketch but where design is constantly shifting the outcome.
Their thinking is adaptive and their work collaborative, the projects a holistic outcome of rigorous coordination and conversations with allied disciplines.
This event will be hosted by Stephen Varady, architect and collaborator, who shares Brickworks passion for architecture, design and innovation.
We look forward to welcoming you to Brickworks Design Studio Hobart for a night of networking and insightful architecture shared with like-minded people over drinks and canapés.
