Join us as we take a deep dive into South Australia’s iconic Festival Plaza redevelopment, from master planning to biophilic conceptualisation, to construction.
inDETAIL will be held live from the Brickworks Adelaide Design Studio and bring together architects, designers and enthusiasts to tune in and take a behind the scenes look into this world renowned project.
This event will be facilitated by Daniel Bennett, Principal of Integrated Design, Aurecon and President of the SA Chapter of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, who shares Brickworks passion for architecture, design and innovation.

Being naturally curious and creative, Daniel is a leading and experienced strategic designer with an ability to synthesise ideas into things – his approach is to challenge defining a problem, rather than solving a perceived one.
A registered Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, Daniel has 23 years of award-winning experience shaping greener, healthier, and better places through design strategy for cities and infrastructure.
He is active in industry and advocacy as a member of the South Australian Premier’s Climate Change Council, current State President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, and a past National President. His strategic urban design experience has shaped meaningful place outcomes for many complex infrastructure projects across Australia, from pre-feasibility through to construction, creating integrated city-shaping benefits for all.

Damian has worked with TCL since 1997 and he has an extensive background in master planning, sensitive landscape planning, urban design and infrastructure projects.
He has managed many large-scale projects in both natural and urban contexts throughout Australia as well as internationally. Many of these projects have won international awards, state and national AILA design awards in recognition of the quality of outcomes produced. Damian has great expertise in water sensitive urban design and wetland design and is also recognised for his highly proficient technical skills.
Damian has worked with TCL since 1997 and he has an extensive background in master planning, sensitive landscape planning, urban design and infrastructure projects.

Philippe is an Architect who leads ARM Architectures Adelaide studio and brings eight years’ experience to the field of architecture and urban design.
A local Adelaidean, he is passionate about the city and how design thinking and architecture can offer social and cultural expression to shape places and the people in them. He has been pivotal in the delivery of ground-breaking work for ARM in South Australia, leading the Riverbank works and Adelaide Festival Plaza.
Philippe’s interest and expertise lies in stakeholder engagement, where he has a unique ability to understand the traditions and context of projects to offer an appropriate and meaningful blend of experimentation and innovation. He is particularly skilled in using 3D software to explore and develop architectural design ideas and tell stories within the work. These are often in original, pioneering or inventive ways. His virtual models are used to communicate with clients and stakeholders as well as during construction phases to assist builders and subcontractors.

Tim has over 20 years’ experience in the field of urban design and landscape architecture and has a focus on the planning and design of the public realm. Since moving to Adelaide in 2005, he has built a strong reputation across South Australia for his work in urban design and place making for local and state government agencies.
He has delivered numerous award winning projects for master plans and built works. Tim has a particular interest with working on complex sites where his proven ability to make appropriate design decisions instills high levels of client confidence.
He is an experienced collaborator and design studio guest critic with the University of Adelaide. He currently holds a position on the Design Review Panel with the Office of Design and Architecture, South Australia.
