At the Rose Terraces however, Luigi Rosselli Architectshave made a marked departure from their signature use of rammed earth, instead utilising a cutting-edge prefabricated wall system built to assemble with efficiency and precision, “like a Lego kit.” The prefabricated cross-laminated timber (CLT) not only provides a streamlined approach to construction, but also reduces both waste and energy consumption, minimising the sum environmental impact of the build.
Whilst these innovative technologies have been incorporated into the build, Luigi Rosselli Architects has ensured that traditional charm shines through the terraces’ designs. A standout contributor to this aesthetic is the use of Bristle Roofing’s Marseille Jaspee Roja terracotta tiles. Classically stylish and of French origin, the tiles offer sharp, clean lines in a rich, natural clay palette, curating a look of timeless elegance across the rooftops.
