Engineers Australia – Infrastructure Thought Leaders Series: Sustainable Surface Water Management (WA)
GUEST SPEAKERS: Nadine Riethmuller - Manager Drainage & Liveable Communities, Water Corporation & Greg Facey - Market Segment Manager, ACO   Hear from Industry experts about where the future of sustainable surface water management is heading in Australia. As land in cities becomes increasingly developed, large surface areas are being covered by impermeable pavements. Integrated infiltration and retention systems have the potential to protect stormwater systems, prevent erosion and pollution, and increase flow to receiving waters at a more natural pace – thus conserving and reusing our most valuable resource. This seminar will provide an overview of current regulatory requirements and discuss new, innovative solutions and best practice designs in sustainable surface water management. Key Themes:
  • Global trends in sustainable surface water management
  • Best Practice in design
  • Geo-cellular systems method (detention, retention and infiltration applications)
